April 2007. Danny Quill [of Special Teams Capital] has sold down his shareholding in Betbrokers PLC to a level below the AIM threshold for a disclosable shareholding. The shares were placed with a cosnsortium of private investors, as reported in the AiM notice of 27th April 2007.
Betbrokers was co-founded by Danny in 2003. The company iis the "World's first independent betting brokerage" and operates from a telephone dealing room in Canary Wharf.
Betbrokers floated on AiM on November 1st 2006. Derek Tullett & Eddie Jordan are Non-Executive Directors, and the company has a team of sporting ambassadors that includes Nasser Hussein, Phil Tufnell, Barry McGuigan, Laura Davies & Vinnie Jones. Betbrokers won the E-Gaming Start Up Operator of the Year 2006 Award.
